Ambassador Yongawo Presents Letters of Credence to Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister.



Korovy Val Moscow, April 22 2024- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sierra Leone to the Russian Federation, H.E. Mohamed Yongawo has presented his Letters of Credence to Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Bakhtiyor Saidov, in the capital city of Tashkent.

Minister Saidov, upon receiving Ambassador Yongawo's credentials, emphasized the vast untapped potential for enriching bilateral relations between Sierra Leone and Uzbekistan. He expressed his best wishes to Ambassador Yongawo for success in exploring opportunities across various sectors during his tenure.

H.E. Yongawo is the first Sierra Leonean diplomat to present his credentials to Uzbekistan since Sierra Leone established its embassy in Moscow, initially in the Soviet Union and now in the Russian Federation.

During his visit to Tashkent, Ambassador Yongawo used the opportunity to engage the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Energy including other ministries and business corporations to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral ties and foster cooperation between the two nations.
